This lack of muscle contraction and possible lack of strength results in a decreased range of motion, and therefore a decrease in one’s ability to move efficiently and powerfully.

We believe strongly at Fitness-Tek that getting started on the right foot when taking on a new lifestyle or starting your path to recovery from injury is crucial to your long-term success and happiness. That is why everyone that walks through the doors at one of our locations starts with this amazing and powerful tool, MAT.
You will spend approximately 1.5 hours with a Master Level specialist for this session. In this time, you and your specialist will be going over the science behind MAT and how it works, your medical history, your goals for the session and going forward, what you can expect from your session and a full body assessment and treatment.
In this session, you and your specialist will spend between 45-60 min going back through the limitations that where found during your assessment. The limitations that are still present will be address in order of importance based of the mechanical relationship they hold to your dysfunction. Those areas that are found to need more work will be prescribed very specific exercises for you to do between sessions.
This is the next level of training you will progress to with your Fitness-Tek trainer. Fitness-Tek’s personal training sessions take many different forms, created uniquely per each specific need of each and every client. There is no cookie cutter approach with Fitness-Tek. The information you MAT specialist gathers from your assessment will be passed to you trainer and together they will begin to craft a program that literally, fits you!

Our group HIIT class are taught by some of the best spin instructors in the Tampa Bay area on top of the line Schwinn bikes. The classes are structured in a way that makes everyone feel welcome from beginners to the most advanced riders.
Our High-Intensity Isometric classes are taught by Kevin Votta himself. He created these classes in order to fulfill his commitment to providing a safe and effective group fitness environment. These classes are suited for those looking to take their fitness to the next level as well as those looking to get started.
Fitness-Tek takes continuing education seriously. So serious that we have dedicated a good deal of effort into making sure tools like MAT get into the hands of individuals that are making to look a lasting difference with their clients. We are honored to be an education hub for Greg Ros. Muscle Activation Techniques and have had the pleasure of working with over 100 students in the short time we have been a hub. Kevin has had the pleasure of working with those at the head of their field. Chiropractors, Physical Therapist, Athletic trainers of professional sports teams, Personal Trainers, Acupuncturist, massage therapist, and various MDs have all been amongst the students Kevin has taught.
In addition to Muscle Activation Techniques, Kevin has also created a number of anatomy and exercise modules that are taught out of our Odessa location. These courses are designed for individuals looking to gain a better understanding of the human body's movement system, ie muscles!
